How do you feel about Obama cutting Medicare and taking the health coverage away from your Grandma, Grandpa?
honestly7777 asked:
and your Mom, Dad and the growing population of elderly people. As we age, we become more and more dependent on good health care. Why does Obama want to take it away from them?

He said in the first 10 min’s of the debate. He wants to cut Medicare, making senior citizens suffer after working their entire lives and paying into the system.

You’re nuts. he never said that.

That’s McCain.

I think you have him confused with McCain. Obama is the one who wants to take care of our Seniors. He even want to totally eliminate income tax for seniors who make less than $50,000.00.

Hahahahaha, I think you have Obama mistaken with McCain
“MCCAIN PLANS FEDERAL HEALTHCUTS
Medicare, Medicaid Spending Would Be Reduced to Offset Proposed Tax Credit
John McCain would pay for his health plan with major reductions to Medicare and Medicaid, a top aide said”
Congratulations, you lose.

That’s a lie. And it was McCain who said he’d cut Medicare. Nice try, though.

yes, you seem to have Obama and McCain confused.
By Yenmor, October 7, 2008 @ 5:20 am
You are mixing him up with McCain. McCain has said the coverage people have now, will not be the same coverage people will have in the future.
By janna1g, October 10, 2008 @ 2:14 pm
I wonder if you got confused about the party platforms? The cuts were proposed by McCain. One of Obama’s central themes is his wish to implement universal health care–that is, health care for everyone, and not JUST the elderly!

yeah and replace it with socialized health care where they may or may not get treated, unless it’s too serious, then they are left to die…..
these people have no clue.

Troll alert! Obama said NO SUCH THING, and you know it. But, nice try! You radicals will start any rumor, but you forget, lots of us watched the debate and heard what he said. Such sour grapes from a Republican!
By Kelly, October 18, 2008 @ 8:53 pm
That’s McCain’s plan you’re thinking of. Here’s the article from the Wall Street Journal from October 6.
This is the first paragraph:
“John McCain would pay for his health plan with major reductions to Medicare and Medicaid, a top aide said, in a move that independent analysts estimate could result in cuts of $1.3 trillion over 10 years to the government programs.”

you are vastly misinformed sir, please do not vote.

Well, I am on Social Security and Medicare. I have no choice. When you turn 65, by law you have to sign up for Medicare. I take several medications. If he takes that away, a lot of people will do without their meds and medical care. And you can figure out from that, what will happen to people in that situation. And by the way, my husband and I worked all of our adult lives. I would like to think the government cares, but now I wonder!

I feel great since he never said that

Obama has zero interest in or compassion for senior citizens. He has made not a single statement about how hard their 401 Ks and home values have been hit, yet they have to pay taxes on their social security and on capital gains. If they’re 70 they are mandated to sell investments even though they’re de-valued now.
If Obama’s elected, you better be younger than he is or about the same age or you will be sorry out of luck. Obama looks after Obama first. Wonder how he views his grandmother’s financial and health care conditions. See.
It’s surprising he hasn’t even bothered to pander to the elderly and make them impossible promises or offer double talk like other groups of voters.
