I know on a paycheak the federal, state, medicare, and social security is already taken out and at the end of the year I only figure my federal and state on my 1040. Do I pay any ss or mc on an annuity? I know its a hard question but try if you think you know.

What percentage of federal income, Social Security and Medicare is taken out of paycheck in Texas?

Smita asked:

I’m trying to confirm that my paycheck is being cut properly. I looked through the amounts being deducted for Fed tax, Social Security and Medicare, but I needed to know what percentage of each is supposed to be taken from the gross income. Also when the percentages are cut from the gross amount, is each amount taken individually from the whole? I hope this makes sense. Thank you in advance for your help.

Dementia asked:

I’ve run into problems when calling referring doctors’ offices for their NPI numbers, which are necessary if the referring doctor’s name is on the claim. Is the name of the referring doctor ALWAYS necessary on electronically-filed Medicare claims? Some offices don’t even know what one is!
